It is packed with enough complexity and flavour to fill a stadium with chill reggae dub vibes and still punch enough bitterness to pump out a post-punk set into the darkest dungeon. Look out for passion fruit and mandarin skanking away on the malt dance floor, then wash away into the darkness for a crisp bitter finish.

Even the King of the Underworld needs a best friend. For Hades, that was Cerberus, his three headed doggo. While his extra heads made him a triply good guard dog, he did chew through a lot of sandals. This West Coast IPA is Emerson's triple dry hopped tribute to the hound of Hades. They've used four different breeds of hop, Centennial, Columbus, Simcoe and Mosaic, to create this boisterous mutt, with a fruit salad bomb of flavour. At 6.7% you might want to share it with at least one other head.

Chocoloato is chocolate milk for grown ups. While it might not be very family-friendly, it is extremely planet friendly, animal friendly, worker friendly and palate friendly. Before the sixties started swinging, mild mannered Brits liked nothing more than a Mild Ale. It was the nation's favourite beer style in a time of politeness, moderation and general niceness. Ducks in a Row is a throwback to these days. Classically malty, with soft toffee and caramel notes. Despite the modest 3.3% it also has a good body, thanks to the subtle addition of Golden Syrup. Dunedin is a Penguin Town. But it may not stay that way, unless we all step up to help. Our iconic hoiho are critically endangered, with an estimated 143 nests remaining on the mainland and Rakiura, a number that drops dramatically every year. This is Emerson's fourth amber liquid in aid of yellow-eyed penguins, but it won't be their last. This NZ Pale Ale is easy-drinking, with vibrant notes of stone fruit, and a biscuity malt backbone. Keep saying yep to YEPs.

It's not just chefs who like working with the freshest ingredients. The Emerson's brewers couldn't wait to get their hands on the latest crop of fresh Motueka hops from the greenthumbs at Garston Hop Farm. After harvesting, they're rushed from farm to brewery, and straight into the kettle. The extra-fresh cones give the XPA an extra-lively lemon and lime flavour, with background notes of tropical fruit, and a lovely hop oil texture. You're sure to give it a double green thumbs up.
